"We Have Some Planes......"

Well today I went and saw the object of controversy in the media right now.....United 93. I really didn't want to see it but I felt that it was important that I did see it so that I would truly understand the sacrafice the people on that plane made. This wasn't ones of those movies where I showed up, slapped down my money with a smile on my face, ran to the concession stand to buy some popcorn, and then happily trundled to the theatre. It was as far from that as possible. In fact, when the theatre came into my view a feeling of dread rose up in my stomach. Why? Well it is quite obvious.....I knew that I was about to witness a firsthand account of over 40 people who fought bravely for their lives but ultimately lost them. I must say that I have researched September 11th extensively and I have never seen a film that sticks more to the facts. This film does not attempt to glorify violence nor does it treat the passengers as super-heroes. It is simply a real-time account of what did happen on that plane and what could have happened. So I do recommend viewing this film if for no other reason that just as a reminder of what a huge price some have to pay for the freedome we enjoy and take for granted every single day. Be warned however, this film is rated R and is not afraid to show violence. It is brief but what is there is very powerful.

"We All Need Prayer"

I was just thinking about how vital a prayer is in our life. Many of us do not even realize how many people we have praying for us and how deficient we would be without it. I, like all people have been guilty of telling someone that I will pray for them yet fail to do so. That is why I feel that God has called me to pray for the people in my life in a special way during the summer months (if you read this most likely you will get an email explaining the details). I also just wanted to share with you guys a couple of sites that I have found supremely beneficial when I have been in need of having another brother or sister in Christ pray for me. The first one would be liveprayer.com. It is run out of Tampa Florida by a very Godly man. You can email him 24/7 and he usually replies within 2 hours to let you know that he is praying for you. The site also has daily devotionals that are also very beneficial. Another site that is really good is passaprayer.com. It is basically just praying for people anonymously.....you send a prayer request to a random person and then 10 minutes later you will receive a prayer request. So yeah, I apologize of this post doesn’t make much sense in parts. I didn't sleep much last night and had a final at 8 so I kind of got a sleep deficient drunk thing going on.
God Bless

"That Old Familar Feeling"

Well the time is here yet again. That's right, its finals time. I had my first at 4pm and I feel that it went pretty well. It was tropical health and the prof said beforehand that she made it as easy as possible....she was correct :-) I have just finished up studying for Pediatrics which is tomorrow. It is my own personal belief that I could study all of this information for a year and still not be totally comfortable with it. I have mainly just studied the general topics and am hoping for the best. I figured that I have to get at least a 63 to pass which I personally see as no problem. I base this on the fact that when I took it last semester I got a 74 with barely studying. So yeah, its a rough time right now but God is still good. I have seen His hand in this and I know He is with me so I have "no fear".....or the Kentucky version "ain't skeered".

Believe it or Not

Thats right, I now have a blog. I really never thought that I would see the day but sure enough. My only regret that I didn't join the blog revolution sooner instead of waiting for it to be commonplace but I suppose that I just have to settle for second best :-) So what is my reasoning behind starting this you may ask? Well I decided that it would be nice to have a place that I could go to vent frustration, discuss deep thoughts I have been having, or share stories that I find humorous. Yeah...so....enjoy.
