Website Alert: "Do You Wiki"

Is it just me or does Wikipedia’s Online Encyclopedia have one of the greatest ideas for information exchange ever. What makes it so great you may ask????.....it’s totally people driven!!! People who search the internet and find out information about a particular subject upload the info they found onto Wiki thereby expanding the already existing article or creating a new one. Plus with over 1 million articles to choose from you are bound to find what you are looking for. At first I couldn't believe that they actually let other people edit their page and articles. Then one day curiosity got the best of me and I clicked the edit button and typed in random characters in the middle of a paragraph and hit saved and sure enough it was saved. Of course they emailed me 2 days later and told me not to do it anymore but hey I thought it was cool that if I know some new information on a subject that isn't already there I can simply hit edit and add it. I have been on it quite often lately (mainly at work when bored) and have learned some rather interesting things:
- Eating your boogers is thought to boost your immune system (I'll take my chances)
- Golf was originally a guy only sport hence Gentlemen Only Ladies Forbidden.
- You can make a wallet (complete with inside holders) completely out of duct tape.
Of course they have normal articles as well (those were only things that stood out). So be sure to check it out.....its pretty crunk as they like to say.
Later,
~N
