"Paging Dr. Howard, Dr. Fine, Dr. Howard"
Welp its 2 in the am and I am currently at St Luke West about 3 hours into my shift. God has blessed me tonight with an easy workload. I showed up tonight primed and ready to tackle a difficult night filled with call lights I don't wish to answer and hind parts I don't wish to wipe.....however.....that was not to be the case. I showed up in the staffing office and was told that I would be going to Mental Health. I found this odd at first but then remembered that they usually do this when they have a mentally disturbed person in one of the restraint rooms. I was not looking forward to this as the last time I worked here I was cussed out, spit upon, and scratched by a beast of a man who could easily have grinded my bones to make his bread. So needless to say I didn't know what I was walking into and was kind of anxoius upon my arrival to the unit. But it has been the exact opposite. There are 15 patient's tonight and all of them keep to themself, are quiet, and quite friendly. All that I have to do is checks every 15 minutes which simply requires me to get up and walk in a circle and then chart where and what the patient is doing at that time. Good thing I brought that Tom Clancy novel huh.
God Bless,
